We've been shopping for rings.



According to the "rules" (you know - cultural traditions, things "they" say, etc) the guy is supposed to spend three months wages on the engagement ring. EEK!! That is just ridiculous. He told me not to look at price tags - just to look at what I liked. Fortunately the rings I've liked so far don't break the bank.



It is going to be a very very good summer. :)

Little birdie for a little girl

I don't have the story behind this pic yet, but it is of my Dad and my niece at her second birthday party (after the festivities were over and everyone was on their way home). It was just too sweet to keep to myself.

How cool would this be?!

The non-profit I work for is looking for a new Executive Director, hopefully to start in September although it could be later. Our current ED just received a letter from a very well-respected International non-profit, recommending that we look at hiring a person they have connections with. What's so cool about that? She, is a midwife from a caribbean island.

Seriously - that could be amazing!!!




also - tomorrow I get to hear Justin Trudeau speak, and be in a small group discussion with him after. (not as exciting as birth stuff, but still pretty darn exciting.)
